Ah, right- sorry totally forgot to say- for various reasons plugging it into the router isnt a particularly great option- i did sorta already know that you’re supposed to plug it (or indeed any NAS) into a router 😀 Just wondering if there’s a way round this.
OK, to further the question into even more complicated realms: Our internet comes to us from a different room, though ethernet ports in the walls. We DO however have a spare router lying around which we used to use for our wireless network, but no longer need it. Is it possible to somehow pug in the Sharespace into the router and access it from all the macs, whilst still taking the internet from the original source? (So I dunno- almost like having 2 networks or something? One wireless for the Sharespace and one ethernet (which is already there) for the internet?)
