Did you set your options for what kind of QT codec?
The default is usually something crappy.

Do you mean ‘broken’ as it’s a bug?

Control-Shift is a function that slides all of the clips together within the multiclip.
I’m trying to just slide one video within the multiclip.

I’m assuming you can’t do this with Final cut 6

    Thanks Walter, you’re right.
This is my first time working with a couple of Assistant Editors, who are pretty new at this. So I have to always go back to square one and figure out what they’re doing wrong myself.

Kind of defeats the purpose, which takes editing time away.

Sorry, we had the ethernet cable connected from 100mb to 1GB now so it’s wokring all fine.

My other question is, in the User Preferences under General: what should I limit real-time video to in terms of MB/s?

June 21, 2007 at 9:09 am in reply to: Editing HD and MiniDV in the same Timeline?

I am shooting 16:9 HD 720p at 24fps for the majority of the shoot and need to use MiniDV for Helmet cameras and bicycle POV’s at 30fps.
I need to mix up these formats because of shooting reasons.

My question and problem is how do you mix different formats and fps in the same timeline?
I’m sure they do it all the time. Ex. shows like Fear Factor.

You can still fit 30min videos on youtube. There’s always a way.
I’ve even seen 1 hour videos.

I forgot to mention that the clip is 12min and compressed using compression.
