Have you guys encountered a problem where when you add more audio tracks for example 6 or 8, when ever you drag clips with audio from the bin into the timeline, the audio of the clips fill up the 6 or 8 audio tracks when it actually only has 2?

Is there a setting or is this a bug?

Nope. If all those audio tracks are there, then you digitized that many tracks.

With the AJA Kona for example, I can digitize 16 channels of audio in realtime during capture. Even if my source only has two channels of audio present, if I don’t set up my Capture Settings correctly in the Log and Capture window, I will end up with a clip that has 16 tracks of audio. Only 1 and 2 will actually have sound and the rest will be silent.

If I simply drag one of those clips from the Browser to the timeline, all 16 tracks of audio will follow.

    Thanks Walter, you’re right.
This is my first time working with a couple of Assistant Editors, who are pretty new at this. So I have to always go back to square one and figure out what they’re doing wrong myself.

Kind of defeats the purpose, which takes editing time away.
