I suppose you are talking about the Video Bus Track (made visible via VIEW-VIDEO BUS TRACK or Ctrl Shift B)

In CS4:
When you made a mask with the Quickmask tool, you can go to the Channel pallet. In this pallet you will find not only the RGB channels but also the mask as a separate channel. Deselect the RGB and drag the mask channel to your new image.
Go to the channel pallette of the new image and select the RGB channel to see your second image.
I hope it works the same in photoshop 7.Theo

There are several ways to create a videowall in Vegas. You can do this by hand, using the track motion tool. Or you can use Excalibur, which can make nice videowalls.

There is also the free Davitools to create a videowall.
https://www.davitools.com/VideoWall/HomeVw.aspxYou can use trackmotion and parent-child relations to move your videowall in ‘3D’ space.
However, you can also create the videowall in a separate project and import this videowall in your main project. That would make it very simple to move your 3D wall in ‘3D’ space.
Ofcourse it is also possible to zoom into one of the frames of the videowall. The easiest way to do this depends on how you made the videowall and the 3D movement.Theo

Hi Ryan,
Using the event pan/crop tool will indeed scale your event, but not the track. To scale the track (to get picture in picture) you have to use track motion. You will find track motion in the track header, with a symbol of a big square and a small square. The Track Motion popup window will look very similar to the event pan/crop window.

How long is the movie? If it is only a short piece, you can think of a clonestamp in e.g. AE

Do you have a backup from your veg-file from an earlier timepoint where Vegas was still functioning normal?
What happens if you move your footage to a new folder. Upon opening the veg-file, Vegas will ask you where to find the source material. Will it open then correctly?

I would just reinstall Windows. Then everything should work fine…
