Within about one week, Sony will present update 9.0b for Vegas. This update should resolve problems with generated media. Hopefully that will also solve your problem.

Hi Brandon,

JPEG is never a good format to create your titles for Premiere. Better use the .psd file or even tiff.

Video uses non-square pixels. Photos from your digital camera use square pixels. So if you start from scratch in photoshop (file-new)you can choose a format with the right pixel/aspect ratio for either 4:3 or 16:9 video. In that case the (NTSC) resolution is 720 x 480 pixels in both cases.
If you have to start your project with square pixels, then you have to correct for the smaller pixels. In that case you start with 720 x 534 pixels for 4:3 video or 864 x 534 pixels for 16:9 widescreen video.

I’m afraid that this needs to be done by rotoscoping in After Effects or Boris Red (creating your mask frame by frame)…

Ofcourse Vegas and Soundforge should work together perfectly. I never saw your problem in Soundforge 8 or in Soundbooth CS4.

But could you solve the problem this time by re-importing the original event?

So soundforge made a new copy of the edited audio for you? Then you should be able to delete the original event from the timeline AND the project and import it again.

Hi Ben,

Normally, you would indicate your favorite audio editor in the preferences. After having done that, you only have to context (right) click the audio event and select the option to edit a copy of the audio in your favorite editor. This editor will launch and you make your effect. A copy will be rendered automatically. Thats all.

And if you combine this with Pixelans Spicemaster Pro plugin for Vegas, you can create fantastic customized photoshows.

Right-click on the preview window of the event pan/crop tool and you will get a popup menu with this option.

Yes, to make a mask of a circel shape, you can use the Sony cookie cutter (which is one of the FX you will find in the FX tab). This one is also keyframeble.

You can use scripts to do this for you. Especially the Excalibur, the Ultimate S and the Production Assistant could be very usefull for you… (the last two contain the same photomontage tools).
