Automating the creation of Animoto-style videos in Vegas. Possible?
Hey everyone,
I have a big client that wants 50 one minute “slide show” style videos. BUT, each video has to look different, and use different transitions, effects, text animations, etc.
I could do each video manually in Vegas, but that would take a very long time. So I was wondering if anyone knew of any plug-ins that could at least somewhat automate getting Animoto-style videos from still images? Or maybe a big collection of random templates (.veg files) that already had various transitions and effects laid out on the timeline, so that all I’d have to do is drop my client’s images and music bed into it, then be done with it.
I could just use Animoto for this, but it is against their Terms to sell videos made by Animoto to my clients IF my clients are going to resell the videos to someone else (which is the case).
So, any ideas on how to automate a project like this as much as possible using Vegas?

You can use scripts to do this for you. Especially the Excalibur, the Ultimate S and the Production Assistant could be very usefull for you… (the last two contain the same photomontage tools).
