  • Thanks Rafael.

    Fix it in Pre.

  • I plan to use Quicktime files in the XDCAM codec for FCP7 do work with (I need files as small as I can without any loss in quality) and prores 422 files from PANASONIC TM700 (I guess I should go with 422 and not 422Lt?). But my basic camera (with most of the clips) is Sony with XDCAM codec files. So I’m wondering if I should match my timeline with the XDCAM files and render to
    a) xdcam files
    b)prores 422
c)prores proxy (and when I finish, throw the render files and render to 422HQ and then export)
c)to match my time line with prores 422 files and render also to proress 422.

  • Wow I’m so surpised that i read all the post and still I don’t have the answer to this problem. I don’t know if its me who skiped the propert post or if its no one who answerd properly a workflow for this camera or at least if its should be 422Hq, 422 or 422Lt the converded file.

From Audition to Fcp 7 the only way is to have only one clip exported ftom audition to fcp7? You cant sent something like omf?

But Jvc hm 100 uses mpeg2 (?) codec. Do you think is the most apropriate codec for editing? I think it would be better to make the media apple proress LT. You dont lose clips quality and final cut pro works smoother.

  • In that case you can press Cmd-F in the browser window and then type the name of clip that you want to find. Then click find all or find next and the master clip will be reveled in the browser’s window.
