    Hello,

I shot some footage with a JVC HM100 using the .mov container and a resolution of 1920×1080 (25p).
Could someone explain me how to setup my Final Cut Pro (6.0.6) so I can log an transfer the footage? So far it’s not working and the only thing I had was an error message saying something like “unsupported media”.
I have the JVCProHD.RAD Plugin as I already used the JVC to shoot before but used the .MP4 container.
    Thanks!

No need to log and transfer. Just drag the clips onto your media drive, import them into FCP by dragging them into the Browser, or just basic IMPORT, and then cut. That is the beauty of that camera, it shoots to a QT format that FCP can work with right away.

But Jvc hm 100 uses mpeg2 (?) codec. Do you think is the most apropriate codec for editing? I think it would be better to make the media apple proress LT. You dont lose clips quality and final cut pro works smoother.
