  • That’s pretty wild. What program created the AIFFs? What format are they (bit & sample rate)?

    Whoa!
If you are not receiving support for the products you have purchased, you need to call them out first of all. Secondly, you need to find new dealers who support their products. There are many resellers just waiting in line for your money.

  • First verify that a commercial disc will play in it.
Then see if any other burned DVDs will play.

This will help narrow down the problem to either the computer you are playing it on or the discs you have made.

The ability to create sub-harmonics is also available in Soundtrack Pro. The effect is called “SubBass”. Send your FCP project to Soundtrack Pro and see if the additional filters and effects there help you out at all.

For those struggling with a start, here’s the mission statement for my Dad’s greenhouse business:

“Your supplier of choice, for premium propagated plant material.”

I’ve always loved the first part (your supplier of choice). We realize that you have chosen us. We intend to do business respectfully so that you continue to choose us.

July 30, 2010 at 6:38 pm in reply to: Motion 4 Not Performing as well as I hoped

I don’t think that you can expect real-time playback. When you are working on the project turn off the layers that are not necessary to make the adjustments. Turn off reflections and frame blending until final render. Also trim back layers that aren’t seen. (if you have a layer that is not seen by the camera, the computer still needs to keep track of it and its effects)

I have a new MacPro that I can max out in a heartbeat with just a few layers if I am really pushing the effects and the render settings. Its easy to do. It doesn’t mean that the computer is junk, more like my expectations are too high. But even though I have a new computer, I just got it a month or so ago and the computer it replaced is a G5 2×2.0GHz. I’ve obviously have used it for a good number of years and it is still in service. So yes, you have a good computer, but your expectations need to be inline with what it is capable of doing.

Nice job. So glad the client went with the “naughty” version. I was thinking that should have happened when I was watching the behind-the-scenes footage.
Again great results, especially on the cheap!
