Interesting problem, but odd way of trying to solve it.
To add something (an effect) to an entire sequence, nest the sequence into a new sequence. Or in this case, with burn-in needed, I would have just re-encoded with Compressor but added the “Timecode Generator” filter that Compressor provides.

As was mentioned, maybe the QT7 will help this. But I just wanted to comment on the reference file. I ONLY use reference files to export to (from fully rendered sequences). Compressor (submitted to the cluster) will use all the cores (that you have setup in QMaster) with reference files with no problem at all.

Not sure about your video quality, as it seems to be a good workflow. However, text created in DVDSP will look terrible! Menus, buttons, text, backgrounds, etc….should be made in Photoshop for stills or Motion/AfterEffects for motion assets.
Content creation is not DVDSP strong point – as well it shouldn’t since it is an authoring environment. Why Apple even allows these options is beyond me. (In all their other ventures – if it doesn’t work in a nice, beautiful, easy way the feature isn’t even implemented.)

Definitely RGB color space (not my typical suggestion for print work, but what works for WalMart), but check to make sure you file is 8 bits/channel.

Oh yeah, I see your point. I was thinking complexity on the day of the event. Pop in a disc and be done.
As far as creating the disc, make your video the first play and its end jump command points back to itself. (Disable all other commands, such as menu, title, etc…)

I would recommend the looping DVD as it contains the least complexity. Simplicity is the key when at an all day event. You want to concentrate on contacts/customers, not is the video still playing (correctly).

Resize and/or crop with compressor, since I assume you are already using it to convert from your editing format to a youtube format?

Its not that crazy counting thing is it? Where one program starts counting at frame 0, while another program starts counting at 1?
