Have you rebooted your computer and tried to open it?
Have you installed any programs or updates since you last successfully used it?
Have you tried a system restore point?

  • When you open the second chromakey evnt window and make your settings you have to reopen the first chromakey window to change settings in it. If you just click back ti the event (so that your curser is on the first event) you will see the event in the preview window but you will still have the chromakey window open for the second event. As Mike said you need to reclick on the effetcs symbol in the correct event.

Up to 2:57 (approx) you should be seeing track 8 which looks like a text with alpha channel so that text will be showing on whatever is below track 11. If nothing is below track 11 then your text will be showing on black (nothingness) At about 2:57 you hahve place a text track with alpha and placed a transition. But you have placed a fade through color transition and it appears you have chosen black. So the effect you will get is that at 2:57 all text disappears to black and both tracks fade in with you transition. What you want is a straight dissolve or fade transition (not through color) So either change the transition or drag the alpha channel controller to the bottom.

I assume then when you play the timeline you get no audio?
When you preview the clip in the project media do you get any audio?
It sounds like a codec problem. Your system probably does not have a codec to ‘read’ the file. You can use the free utility G-spot to see what codec is needed and whether you have it on your system. If not you can Google it and find a codec and download it. You mightthink that because you use a Sony camera and a Sony Software that they would automatically be in communication. Unfortuantely, they are like two completely separate companies and like a husband and wife sometimes do not communicate very well.

You have somehow switched from the ‘normal edit tool’ to the ‘selections edit tool’. The selection of this is normally made inthe top tool bar. The selections edit tool is the arrow with the dottted box around it. The normal edit tool button looks like a curser with a wiggley line through it. Or you can use CTRL+D keyboard shortcut.
