Have you rebooted your computer and tried to open it?
Have you installed any programs or updates since you last successfully used it?
Have you tried a system restore point? -
ive rebooted any ive not installed anything i dont think but how do i system restore please and also will it delete any of my files?

System restore is usually found in the all Files-accesories-system tools. Pick a restore point back when the program was working and restore it. You will not lose any data files. It will just change any system files that may have gotten changes since then. If it does not work, or if you notice that something is missing (which should not happen) you can undo the system restore.

do you have to creat one, because i dont think i created a system restore point before this happened

XP creates them for you automatically (one each day?).
Follow the steps Terry suggested and you’ll find it.
