You adjust the length of the transition by changing the amount of overlap of your two events. The longer the overlap the slower the transition. You might also want to place a generated white event on the track below the two scenes. You could then fade out on scene A which would fade to show the underlying white scene which you could hold as long as you liked. And then fade in on scene B.

I don’t know what the trial period thing is about as WMM is an integral part of XP and I don’t think there are any upgrades to it you can buy. Sounds like the installation is corrupted. You do have XP SP2 right?

Never use WMM but thought I’d take a look at it when I read your question. It appears to be true that once you import a movie file, when you import another one the first one appears to disappear. HOWEVER if you look right above the ‘library’ there is a drop down list that when you hit the arrow it shows you all the files you have imported. So they are really there. Seems like a strange way to do it!

I used Microsoft Publisher – which I happened to have on board – to set up the web site – very simple for a very simple site. Then as mentioned above I just typed in the ftp address into explorer and click and dragged the document from my desk top (where I saved it) to the ftp site – voila! a wb site. Not very fancy but functional and easy. When you need to change the site you just open the document on your desk to make your changes and then drag it to the ftp site and they overwrite what is there. Couldn’t be simpler -and thats a good thing for me.

Just render as wmv and choose your compression depending on whether you think people will be viewing with broadband or dial up.

It may be my eyes but it looks like it is taller too. Like the whole pic is moved up a pixel or two or three.

You probably won’t notice any quality loss but you will lose 10-15% of your video frame!
