August 23, 2006 at 12:33 pmIf you’re using windows xp, just open a text command window
and type ftpand do the transfers. Good for
simple transactions, particularly if you already know “ftp”
(same syntax as unix versions “forever”). And it’s already
there for free. For more extensive things wsftp and the others are easier,
but for the quickie simple transaction, the command line version
works fine. 🙂 -

August 23, 2006 at 3:54 pmI used Microsoft Publisher – which I happened to have on board – to set up the web site – very simple for a very simple site. Then as mentioned above I just typed in the ftp address into explorer and click and dragged the document from my desk top (where I saved it) to the ftp site – voila! a wb site. Not very fancy but functional and easy. When you need to change the site you just open the document on your desk to make your changes and then drag it to the ftp site and they overwrite what is there. Couldn’t be simpler -and thats a good thing for me.

August 23, 2006 at 6:14 pmI’ve used 3 or 4 but prefer Filezilla. I’ve placed a video on youtube.com and video.google.com showing how to use it (I think you can find it on both by searching for “filezilla”)
