A project file should work on both Windows and Mac. You just need to relink the files because the file paths are different between the systems.

If my drives were squeaking the last thing I’d move was the preview files. You don’t need them and you can render them again. If there’s any footage on the faulty drive copy them to a new drive. Then relink.

What are you viewing it with? I’m not using quicktime player anymore because it seems that it can’t do stable playback of certain files.

Have you tried recording with just the Zoom as an USB mic?

Mac OS will read and write fat32 but only read NTFS. If it’s some mysterious dynamic partition thing it might not show up at all.

Do not view color critical stuff in Quicktime. It just can’t show gamma properly.

The only way you can get close to color consistency is if you are making a movie that is graded in a proper suite and shown in theaters with calibrated projectors. There is zero way you can ensure consistency on the web because you can’t control how people have set up their monitors. Is it warm? Is it cool? Is it green?

I thought it had some caveat. I’ve never used scene detection in any tape jobs I’ve done.
