There is another trick. In Resolve go to preferences and select Wave or other panel, than conform this (enter password and OK), than go back in prefs and do it again. Resolve will prompt you that it needs to restart to take that action to work, bu it doesn’t have to. This way works for me 3 times per week.

    Hey Dan,
what kind of calibration did you have on OLED? I have read in Sony website that it supports colomiters/probes (x-rite for now). But it seas it does not include software. What was your option to get the accurate image out of it?

I am looking forward to get one of OLEDs soon. Appreciate the answers, Pro Sony support in my country is not so good and they do not have the anser.

  • Basicly I am asking what are the differences from both sony OLEDs? Is the PVM good for grading? Does it handle only Rec709?

I have the jvc and it just does not have the black level and the viewing angle is just terrible. If you are working with a client it is a nightmare

you can try this, it works for me:

    1. Run Temrinal and copy/paste:
    defaults write -g AppleDisplayScaleFactor 0.75

    2. Run Da Vinci Resolve

    3. In Terminal reset the resolution back:
    defaults write -g AppleDisplayScaleFactor 1

It scales the window down so you can use 1920×1200 GUI on smaller display

July 21, 2011 at 9:12 pm in reply to: 2008 Mac Pro RT Performance with DaVinci

I have similar problems on MacPro 2008. Is there an option to pause scopes in playback? So they refresh only when you pause the video. 8bit output is just not enough for some projects.

@Fred: I will try uninstalling and installing like you specified in next few days, hope to solve the problem that way.

Is there any issue with DeckLink drivers about 8bit and 10bit output? I have installed only Resolve no other separate of installation for DeckLink.

July 21, 2011 at 12:50 pm in reply to: Euphonix/Avid MC color

Another question about MC Color… did anyone found a soulution to show tabs with MC COlor, not mouse?
On JL Cooer you have an option to clic a button that opens the Qualifier, Window, Blur, Key tabs…

    An example of use:
On a first node I am doing a power window and “Window” tab is active, I add a new node and pull of key, I like to set key without mouse, so I just select highlights in all hue values… But I like to se the “Qualifier” tab, when doing this. Is there a way to call up a function that shows a “Window” and “Qualifier” tabs?

    Thank you for replays!
