I carry my computers out to my garage and open up the case and blow them out with my air compressor. It’s amazing how much dust accumulates in just a few months.

I do this all the time with Roxio. I just create a data disk and make sure the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders are in the root directory of the DVD. Then I just add other directories (in the root directory) for data or what ever. As long as you finalize the disk it will play on set top DVD players, but will also contain any data files you wish to save with your project. You can then just open up the DVD in windows explorer and copy any of the files if you need to later.

Hold down the mouse button and drag over a larger area of the blue to include the different shades. I think that is what Gary is telling you.

You didn’t state what you upgraded. MB, CPU, whole new system, etc.? Vegas should probably run fine with 1gig of ram, but you’d be better off getting another gig. I have two gig of Corsair XMS and it runs great.

I think your stills need to be 655×480 to completely fill up the screen. You can also choose the 4×3 aspect ratio from the pan/crop of the photo on the timeline and it will size it to fit the screen…but this will probably trim a little off the sides of the photo.

The way I did this was to zoom up very close on the beginning of the still clip…split one frame from the beginning of the event…add brightness/contrast FX to that one frame and brighten it up. Worked great for me. I also used a “camera click” audio clip right at the “flash” and it was very realistic.

I wouldn’t take a chance on it. You can find USB card readers pretty cheap even on Ebay. I have an Xd card reader that plugs into the USB port and works great. I use my Xd cards all the time to transfer files between my computers. They work like a mini hard drive.

I am on my second Epson R200 printer and have had excellent results with them. The first one started spitting ink out into the bottom of the printer after a while so I just went to my storage closet and pulled out my spare I had bought. The newer version is the R220 which is pretty much the same thing except the CD/DVD tray looks to be much more reliable (I sometimes have to help feed the tray into the printer by giving it a slight nudge in the R200). They aren’t super fast but if you’re not printing lots of copies at a time they work great.
I have been using the cheap ProDisc brand inkjet printable discs from CD-DVD-Supplies.com and have never had one come back. I have used close to 1000 of these discs and only ran into one 50 pk. that had a few bad discs in it. I could see dark spots in the burned side of the disc after burning. But this was just a few out of one spindle like I said. You should NEVER use stick on labels as they will throw the disc out of balance.
Some will say to never use any ink other than OEM, but I use after market ink in my R200 and never had a problem. In fact I just bought two more sets of ink cartridges on Ebay for about $30 including shipping. Epson ink will run you about $70 per set…and you can buy a new printer for less than $100 with ink included. -
Gary’s suggestion is your quickest bet, but what it sounds like is there might be some sort of media (even just a frame or two) ten minutes past the end of your video causing vegas to render the extra time.
