Nucleo Pro is a definite no, as of last Wed when I called them. They’re not at the beta stage for CS4 yet and couldn’t give me any kind of time frame either. Knoll light factory did work, but I just turned a light on before the client said no and i deleted it.

Never seen this happen in FCP, but if a clip plays back white in QT Pro it generally means you don’t have the required codec installed.

Although it sounds like the clips were playing back ok at one point in FCP, so that’s probably not the problem.

If, as you say, you have actually inverted both chroma and luma values, at 50% transpareny you will get 50 ire grey. The one is cancelling out the other, you are reaching the point where it is the equivelant of dissolving between 0 ire black and 100 ire white. Don’t do an invert, modify the colors/luma yourself.

I’d set it up anyway that feels normal. In Color, Shake etc you do need to be able to middle click, so I have one of the express keys set up as that. Pen is click, bottom button right click, top button double click, eraser I find useless. Express keys and touch strips i find useless also, except for the top left express key that I make middle click

Actually, I’m not talking about the edit to tape window, I’m talking about he bars and tone accessed through the video generator pop up window in the viewer.

Hey, thanks, you would kind of hope everyone does that, but unfortunately people forget – including myself 🙂 this kind of stuff is just so easy with other apps, i was hoping someone could point me in the direction of where that code is, I’ve not been able to find it in the content of the FCP app and it’s not part of preferences.

That’s exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. I’ve not found a file called video generators though. In the Resources>FXScripts>Generators folder there is a file called “More_Bars_Signals” That’s the closest I’ve come to finding something like that. However, that doesn’t appear to be it. Or if it is, then that code is beyond my comprehension. I don’t think that is the file though since all the video references in that file are SD only.

Are you talking about the Drive>Library>Preferences>com.apple.FinalCutPro.plist
file? Because I can’t find anything in there that references tone level.

That’s what we’re trying to fix. With CS3 there is no splash screen showing the serial number. Color Finesse is under “About”
