Use the Render Queue by choosing Composition>Make Movie. Look inside the Output Module Settings for options.
For WAV, I believe you have to Export>wave.
By the way, if you have it, Compressor will do AC3.

You could use the Leave Color effect, possibly set to RGB, if I recall. If that keeps blue colors outside your subject, draw and animate a rough mask around the subject to cut out everything around the talent. Or draw a mask around the offending blue bits and set to “inverse”. Check the Help for animating masks.
Since the mask will cut out everything around the talent, you’ll need to have a duplicate footage layer below the masked layer to show the stuff that has been cut out.,

Don’t export, render. Use the render queue by selecting composition>make movie, or composition>add to render queue. Select “filmstrip” in the Output Module as the format.

Weird.
If you have time, are you able to contact the font designer, to see if they’ve done anything unusual when creating the font, or when porting it to Mac?

AE doesn’t work like an NLE — hitting the spacebar won’t play audio. You need to make a RAM preview or hit . on the numeric panel to hear audio. Check the help.

There’s a file called “interpretation rules.txt” in your AE directory, most likely. It contains a list of video file types and characteristics along with the interpretation AE chooses when it encounters those files. If you work with these upper-first files a lot, you might want to alter that file.

Most interlaced stuff is lower field first nowadays. Just to be sure, do this:
1. interpret the footage and separate fields.
2. Alt-double-click on the footage.
3. In the window that appears, step through the footage using the PageDn key. If the footage moves in one direction, you picked the right field order, and you can close the window and go back to work. But if the footage goes back and forth as you step through it by hitting the pageDn key, you picked the wrong field order, and you need to re-interpret the footage, picking the other field order.Just for fun, pick the “wrong” order, so you can see the footage go back and forth.
By the way, other apps call this “field dominance”, but it’s really “field order”.
