  • exporting AIFF or WAV files

    Hi,
I need to export 48.000 kHz, 16 bit AIFF or WAV files from AfterEffects, so I can compress the sound into AC3 (using A.Pack) for use in DVD Studio Pro.
I have AE 6.5 and I don’t see any way to export audio as AIFF or WAV files.
Any ideas or tips would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

Use the Render Queue by choosing Composition>Make Movie. Look inside the Output Module Settings for options.

For WAV, I believe you have to Export>wave.

By the way, if you have it, Compressor will do AC3.

    Thanks.
Any preference between exporting as aiff or WAV (for conversion to ac3 in A.Pack)?

RE: compressor… my version does not allow for ac3… only aiff for DVD’s. Must be older but can’t update for various reasons.

Is there any concern for loss of sound sync (in DVDSP or on my final DVD)if I export sound separately from the movie in AE?

    Thanks for your advice!

Sorry, don’t know A.Pack. I render from AE as MOV, then use Compressor to make m2v and AC3 at the same time, from the MOV.

Not that I can think of. Try it. You might also want to check out the DVD Authoring COW, as we’ve strayed from the AE topic. 🙂
