Yep, read up on the Ripple Edit feature in Vegas.

Its probably something you have on the timeline that is causing
Vegas to be behaving like that ( a corrupt video clip or codec issue or
something like that). Try a basic render with some basic standard files
etc and see if the render still produces this error.
If the problem persists, do a clean Vegas re-install (you wont lose
any of your current Vegas settings).Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

Have you tried the script that was specifically created for this issue?
If not try it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6uTBvu2vGGXbVVhaVZXNkFtREE/edit?usp=sharingInstructions given are: Just add this script to the tool bar and use it when
you highlight the video track and BEFORE any editing or FX’s are applied.
It will sync up the audio video automatically, as it should have been in
the first place.

Or you can simply go to View on the toolbar,
