Yeah, a third party solution is what you have to refer to in times like these.

You are working with 4k video content, you wont get smooth playback if your system is not powerful enough. Plus, the Vegas Preview window playback is not like a media player, you wont get smooth playback with everything.

What i use is the “Dynamic Ram Preview” on sections by sections during edit, to get a perfect feedback as i go along, as to what my final render will look like.

Sorry Morten, you not gonna be able to buy Version 7 from anywhere. Its way too old. Your only option then is to find someone who has that version sitting on a CD disc somewhere, then share it with you.

I have already answered you over on the Magix user forum…. Your graphics card could be under-powered or needs updating.

Right click on the track panel (far left) and a list will come up, then you press “Track Display Color” then you select whatever color you like. There you can customize things even more further.

Probably because when you close down Vegas, its always still there running in the background, and you have to go in the “Task Manager” to fully kill the process. This is a well known memory leak problem for a looong time. I personally usually use a script called KillallVegas to keep this minor issue at bay. But the good thing is that now, the issue is no longer present in Vegas Pro 18…… So you can try one of those two solutions!
