    Allen,
I understand exactly where you are coming from on your view of nero,
so was i some years back. Hated it…with cumbersome bloated
gibberish of features no one really used..LOL.
But overtime after years of avoiding this consumer tool that
tried to look professional..i realise its hidden power and
versatility..but most importantly just installing and using just
three of its programe(out of about 12). And get it doing things
i dont even think the engineers at nero digital know its capable of.
It came full circle from version 7.

The one application that a researched deeply and was absolutely flawless in features and never burned a coaster (which is rare).
was Ulead DVD Workshop, man that software was perfect. But Ulead
went under..and so did its continued development of its applications
    SAD.
All in all DVD Architect tops the list especially with its blue-ray
feature update coming out this month, and Nero as aid.

    Well Zack,
Iam speaking from a personal point of view but with years of experience
and trial in regards to this. Ive tried all DVD authoring software
and narrowed it down to the two best….DVD Architect for professional masters and Nero for Disrtibution to consumers/clients.
But remember to use the best discs which are,Taiyo Yuden and
verbatim…start with quality discs first, you can hardly go wrong with those two.

    Sorry Jack,
No easy solution here, the problem rest with the DVD players the DVD’s are played on. Architech 4 and 4.5 burn perfect professional DVD’s, its
just that some dvd players dont play it back as smoothly…..
Hence my solution is….I use Nero to burn all DVD thats geared
towards home/personal use for my clients and DVD Architect to burn/create perfect Masters for duplication etc.

Indeed, Vegas has that feature and its called the velocity envelope.
Select it by right clicking the video on the timeline.
You can speed up and slow down video events to your liking as you described.

    Try this..
Go to the “sony setup” vegas 7 directory..eg
    (C:Program Files..Sony Setup..Vegas 7.0)
and click on “vegas70_enu” follow the instructions to repair
Vegas 7 and see if that helps.

If not try resetting it by holding down the ctrl + shift keys
    while launching vegas.

Well, i could recommend a freeware name “Sqirlz Morph”
from xiberpix. Its a handy little tool for morphing avi’s
and images..(better than some morphing tools you would pay for).

So you can take a look.

    Sorry no beta,
Why not try reinstalling version 8.0a then. Did you
had any worries using version 8.0 or 8.0a before ?

No, No…I just meant uninstalling and reinstalling just vegas…then
meant cleaning, by just cleaning up old unwanted and hidden files and especially the registry.
Sometimes its the simplest of things that causes such errors.

Sorry, thats how that plugin functions. A brilliant plugin,if only
it had continued developement,it would be a gem of a plugin by now.

    Listen Wade,
Dont just wait thinking that version 8.0c is going to resolve all
the problems you are having with vegas. Try solving it from now.
Are you runnung it on Vista?

Probably you have something on your system causing conflicts with
vegas and causing memory leaks. Have you tried uninstalling..clean
    up and re-installing vegas already?

I think Vegas 8.0c and DVD Architect 5 (with Blue-Ray support)
will be coming out sometime this month.
