Well if you go in the customize toolbar and add the “mute all video tracks” to the toolbar, you can toggle that and see if it affects the timeline.

Try resetting sony vegas by pressing the ctrl + shift keys while
launching vegas.

Unfortunately the volume envelope cannot be applied to each audio clip,
only the entire timeline. So just use different audio tracks for each
clip that needs the envelope.Steve Rhoden

Well then Otto,
Obviously you have some settings wrong, either you have the timeline
muted (if this clip is on a timeline by itself)..or the clip itself is somewhat muted.(check the mute button on the track or right click
the clip itself and look under ‘switches’ if its muted.Does it show up during playback in the preview window?

Quickly…the clip that is left out, is it the same format as all the video that’s rendered correctly?

Or make sure the compositing mode button…same place…is set
to “source alpha”, if problem persist.But make sure the video clips you have on the timeline is not corrupt, play them in a media player to make sure they are ok.
