Really, sony vegas isn’t hardware dependent….just get an overall
powerful computer, that has good processing power, enough memory (3-4gb), etc.
What needs to be taken notice of however, is the requirements of certain other software and plugins that you might be using. Some Compositing applications, high end plugins and visual effects
software, requires specific hardware and software requirements for
efficient workflow….(openGL, GPU video card,etc)..Those are the ones you have to build your system around.

I agree with Ron. Not entirely clear about the problem that
you are relating…including the illegible resolution you have posted.
You need to just write and describe the problem, even if you can’t fully describe it, we can still understand.
From what i gather the text that you added needs to be on top for the transparency to come through from what is on the timeline below it.

Don’t worry…on vegas toolbar click view, in the drop down list,
go to “window layouts” and select “load default layout” and see if
everything returns to normal.

For each video clip, did you open the event pan crop window and right click to select “match output aspect”?

Vista is giving you no end to your problems….(Personally I would revert to XP)…I dont and will not use Vista on my editing bay-PC, But i assume you are not prepared to go that route.

Hence my recommendation is to clean(reformat)your hard drive and reinstall all your applications nice and fresh…(seems your problems will only increase if you continue this route).
