My problem is about transparency and it is shown in this video

Seeing the movie you will understand.

Please see it, the video doesn’t have any virus, spyware or adware…

And please answer me! Why that happens.

    João,

[João Rodrigues] “Seeing the movie you will understand.”

Sorry, I don’t understand because the movie is too low rez to read what you type on the Vegas screen, which I assume is your explanation of what is going wrong. If you wanted the “example” to show on the white screen then it has to be above the white screen, not below it where the white screen covers it up. I coouldn’t understand what you wanted from multiple instances of the “example” clip. What were you attempting to do?

I agree with Ron. Not entirely clear about the problem that
you are relating…including the illegible resolution you have posted.
You need to just write and describe the problem, even if you can’t fully describe it, we can still understand.
From what i gather the text that you added needs to be on top for the transparency to come through from what is on the timeline below it.

The track with your text has to be above the track with the white background.

Sorry for the video I will try writing (my english is not so good).

I want to put a text above the clip but with transparency, so I want to see the text and the movie… well in the video I put the text how some tutorials said, in a line under the clip and not above the clip.

I think you can see in the movie the word “example” doesn’t appear in the clip, but under the clip. I put the text separated for you to see that, when the bar (of the timeline) is going right above the clip and the text it appears part of the word in the black between the movie and the sony vegas pro program, and when there isn’t no bar above the text event it doesn’t appear nothing.

The text is supposed to be above the movie with transparency, but it appears behind the movie, so you can see part of the word on the edges…

Please if you don’t understand I make a new movie with more resolution, just tell me!

Is it possible you are using a white background with the text also in white?…
Otherwise don’t see you have any problem with placing transparent text above what you want to show through.

No, because I put the text all over the movie, and there are other colors.

    Jo,
All you need to do is place the text track above the main video track. That will put the text above.
If you have modified the text properties to have a white (or any other color) background, you’ll want to open the text properties and reset the background to transparent.

    Hi Jo,

As Doug stated, place your text on top and change your color for the text. You have track 1 & 2 in white.

If I put the text above the clip the text, in the preview, stays in front of the clip with black background even if it has the background transparent, how can I reset to transparent?

Now I understood that the order of the lines is important.
I’m sorry for the time you lost!
