When you want to achieve proper de-interlacing results, a de-interlacing filter is a must….There are a some really
excellent ones out there, but they are as plugins for other hosts.
The best free one i could recommend you try is “smart deinterlace”

The only quick work around i could recommend to do in the
meantime..since those clips are so vital, is to convert them
in another application that you have that can read them…to a
quicktime format that vegas can start working with them.But you did not mention which format it is or which camera you are

Did you get a warning message during the install…..Magic
bullet Looks needs a good GPU graphics card to work properly.
If you don’t have the recommended GPU support, it will not show up in Vegas. And works with
vegas pro 8…are you using that version?Steve Rhoden

And also if you are gonna invest in Vegas editing software,
Vegas professional version is what i would recommend you do
that with….because down the road you are gonna end up wanting

Just go in your c:/program files and open the “Aavs 6cc for Vegas”

Well…If the Original files/footages etc. that you have on the timeline are ‘NTSC 29.97 frame rates’ then that would result in
