To be honest with you Chris,
It is extremely hard to be accurate in assessing the
solution to the problem you are having….Most solutions
given to fix this never normally works.
I can only assume that a piece of your media at that
particular point at which render fails is corrupt or
something..if you can try and use an alternate/replacement
shot for this area and see if things go smooth.

Thats funny,
Because “mpeg2-DVD architect video stream/Blue-ray video stream”
are the correct templates to use when rendering your projects for
DVD…You may think WMV is giving you better quality if you
play it back in windows media player.

Any way if you search the forum you can see this topic

Don’t worry the reduction in image quality by converting to
cineform intermediate is minimal.

That’s also correct…Render your video and audio separately:
Choose a “MPEG2-DVD Video stream template” or your video:
And for your audio “48,000:16Bit:PCM” Template or the ac3
format.

So give them the same name when rendering, so that when you
import into Architect both audio and video will be linked.

The Quicktime JPEG format at 95% is a good quality format to
export out to for that….and also because the file would
then be relatively smaller but still possesses great quality.

Vegas works well with this format…thus making things a lot
smoother for the vegas editor.

Or if this particular vegas editor has the “DVFilm Raylight”
plugin…he can work directly with your DVCPROHD Format.

First…You need to use the “import from DVD DISC” feature
in vegas to automatically convert it to mpeg2 and place it
in order on the timeline….do your editing…Then render out
as : MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid)…640 x 480…MP3 audio…30 fps Mpg4.

Go to preferences…then click the “VST Effects” tab….
There you select Browse and point it to where you
have your vst audio plugins folder installed.

Listen..vegas does not come with a load of audio
plugins…you purchase or download free vst plugins
that you want…install them…and then you link them
to vegas as i mentioned above.

You can then easily drag and drop your audio plugin directly
to the audio track (not directly on the audio in the timeline)
and tweak.

Sony vegas is an excellent audio editor…and
you can access all those filters you seek
from your VST audio plugins folder as any audio
editing software….an easy approach to access
it is thru the “Plug-in Manager window”. If not
visible go to view and select it.

Seems possibly some of your media got corrupted somehow…
You can quickly try running the ‘check disk’ utility and
see if this corrects the prob. :

Run – (type in) chkdsk c:/f ..then restart the pc.
