Vegas works well with basically all quicktime files…and now
there is even a free ProRes decoder if you have files encoded
in that quicktime format coming from Final Cut Pro.Steve Rhoden

Don’t know where to point you for a font like that…but you can
google and find a lot of free fonts that may suit your project.
You then install them by going to “control panel”…then to
“appearance & themes”…then you will see to the left a “fonts”
icon, when you select that and the folder opens, just drop your
fonts in.
Now you can select your new fonts just like the others in vegas.Steve Rhoden

Be more specific as to what you mean by sony fx box?
If you mean the videofx window is missing…you just go to view
and select “videofx” and it will be visible with the rest

No, No….Something is wrong there, you should see
three options available in the internal docking capture
utility preferences:
1.None.
2.AJA video device.
3.IEEE 1394/MPEG2-TS device.It will not function if its not selected here.

and make sure the camera is set in hd mode before you connect it

I Should correct myself….when the internal
capture window pops up, you right click in
it and select device and ieee 1394/mpeg2-ts….

I hope you are not trying to use the video capture utility to
capture from an HD camera (its only made to capture SD).
You have to use the internal capture feature in vegas.And also make sure you go in “preferences” and select
ieee firewire connection.Steve Rhoden

Don’t have vegas in front of me now, but don’t perplex yourself
over davitools plugin, in no time,actually by tomorrow midday
you will figure it out in its entirety. But remember you need
to have the events occupying the timelines before you initialize
