Vegas and Camtasia — HELP PLEASE
I have Vegas 8 and am trying to work on a project for a local company. I have never dealt with screen capture software and am having major difficulties. I am dumping the Camtasia files out as AVI files, as I figure these would be the best to work with.
I have captured the screen image at 1024 and at 800 resolution to see which looks the best. No matter what I do, the rendered video looks very bad…almost blurry. The text on the screen is somewhat blocky and almost unreadable. The company wants to send out this demo to clients and it MUST look professional. I have rendered to a 3Mb WMV file (which they prefer) and to a MPG/DVD type file.
I would rather work with the 1024 size as it captures the whole screen better. Can someone please give me some pointers and help me with this? I really don’t know what else to do at this point.
EDIT: I also notice that when I open the AVI from the Camtasia capture in Windows Media Player, it opens nice and is very clear. It fills the whole player window. I just rendered the file using AVI and no compression (default). When viewed in WMP it is not as large and does not fill the screen. When I blow it up, it looks horrible.
