If you look in your “Menu page properties” to your right,
you will see “end action”, in that you will see “command”,
where in the drop down you can set your menu to “loop”.
If this doesn’t help….Maybe it depends still on how you
    are setting up your menu.

John has given you a great suggestion…you would
be surprised what proper color correction
    does in improving a shot.

You need to take note..That AVCHD is not really an edit friendly
format, and it is best to convert it to an MPEG file.
Sure you will suffer some quality loss…but not which you can
    actually notice.

Go into “preferences” and under the “general” tab,
check or uncheck the “make spacebar and F12 Play/Pause…..”
And see if things behave as they should.

November 23, 2008 at 11:21 am in reply to: Render Times and Project Set Up

Rendering is a waiting process anyway you take it..So the
best way to improve rendering speed to see a significant
improvement over what you are getting now is just to increase
the processing power…(new powerhouse computer or doubling
up on your processor and some more memory
    ).

    However,
In properties, set the “full-resolution rendering quality” to “good”.
It will give you a bit more speed (keep it at that always…
only set it to “best” whenever you have pictures on
    the timeline).

I am not entirely sure why you get that particular
problem during capture using vegas. But don’t sweat
it…you have WinDV as another option or as backup.

Try installing the trial first and see if you see your clips
all round…and if things improve first.
There will be no complex issues installing
any of the two codecs i recommended.

November 22, 2008 at 3:18 am in reply to: Imported video won’t display in correct width

As i have guessed…There is a current bug in vegas 8.1
64bit version..that causes what you are experiencing,
numerous editors have the same problem arising.
Try using 8.0c for the time being to avoid this glitch.
Sony is aware of it and will address it in an update soon.
