Re the upgrade you mention above…..A $700 64 bit
laptop upgrade isn’t too bad….but as with everything there
are pros and cons…

Such as plugins for 64 bit architecture are rare at the
moment (newblue fx however is now 64 bit ready)and Vegas
8.1 needs a bit of housekeeping.

You can add a lot more memory to your system now. You
are no longer limited to the 4GB memory limit thats
present in the 32 bit architecture.

ETC…ETC…

But as for me….Im never gonna use Vista.
And now just have a few 64 bit machine on the side….
can’t export my main workflow over to it as yet though.

Try applying the secondary color corrector to the
footage..then use the select effect range eyedropper
to select a squared area in that reflected area…then you
gradually doggle the gamma/gain/offset..etc, sliders until
you achieve a pleasing balance.

Try placing the cursor to the left of the timeline…right
click and select set default track properties
Then tick restore original defaults…then ok.

Hopefully everything will be back as normal…let me know.

Go further into your program files C:Program Files
and delete every single folder with the sony vegas name…
Then take a second to clean up your system with a cleaner
(i use ccleaner…www.ccleaner.com). Restart your system
and try your installation again.

Personally i haven’t taken the new pro-type titler
through its paces as yet to experience any short comings.
I mainly use prodad Heroglyph as my main titling tool aid.

It is an issue with your computer…..
Your computer is underpowered to handle a smooth playback
when the waves plugin is applied…The Waves plugins requires
quite a bit of processing power…
But still…you wont have any issues when you render out your
audio using it.

First, find out which quicktime codec was used in creating these
files from within FCP. The file splitting is not an issue…the
codec that was used is the first thing to know in order to
solve this issue..find out this detail from whom you got
these footages from and then let us know.
