Why are you referring to Vegas 10…Seams you know when thats
gonna come out and what new features it will have….

As you know Vegas is geared towards the broadcast industry
and you have tons of mobile export tools out there…Vegas
is not gonna handle every specialized feature known.

There has been some changes in previewing in Vegas 9
with mixed results from some users.

Try right clicking in the preview window and disable
“adjust size and quality for optimal playback”
Then now when you toggle with the various preview quality
settings, you can assess which setting best suits you.

OK….Try do a reinstall of vegas 9 then restart the
computer and see.

Well if you capture was without any dropped frames, the
jerky playback you are seeing is just probably normal for
your computer…remember the preview window is just for that..
previewing…its not for giving you a smooth playback
like a normal media player.
When you render out your work and play it back in a media player
or back thru your camera, you will see that everything is smooth
as it should be…..if its not, then that would be an
indication that something is wrong.
you can even run back the captured footage thru your camera
to make sure.

Other than the darker GUI I noticed little difference

You are wrong there..Vegas Pro 9 is filled with a
long list of new features and functionality…The only
thing is that as a new release (as with all new releases)
, has a few kinks to smooth out….over time with gradual updates.
