It is indeed something wacky with your GPU…..
As you have not mentioned which GPU card etc, you have to fiddle a little bit more with its configurations to get the correct result.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

You first need to make sure your render settings are set to render out the highest quality first! You have not mentioned anything here as to what your render settings are etc. If you are rendering out and your finished file size is small, that is compression, and the more your video is compressed the more quality it loses. At first i thought your problem was resampling, but you said you disabled it completely.
Then your issue only is the rendering format and its settings that you are choosing!Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

A codec is not necessarily your problem. Do yo have a lot of other software installed on your system?
What you are experiencing is sometimes due to Vegas conflicting with something installed on the system, something running in the background or a bad driver somewhere.
Try removing all Vegas related tools you have installed and after rebooting, install Vegas Pro 17 alone. Yeah its cumbersome, i know, but you need to find a solution for your problem.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

No, those preset animations cannot be migrated to be used to animate your png logos.
They are designed to only work on text made available in the Titles & Text feature.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

Black frames in render issue was fixed a while back. So it is odd you are having this.

Try re-installing Vegas and see. And make sure its the latest version of Vegas 15….

Doubt you will have those issues after upgrading to Vegas Pro 17.
All mp4’s that comes to me from many different sources are all easily handled by Vegas.

The issue is the source of those mp4’s.
Vegas 12 is a bit dated and needs to be upgraded to be friendly with the current flavors of mp4’s.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)
