Roger, Vegas 17 then is having an issue with something on your system, very hard to suggest what it could be….. Vegas 17 is 100% stable for me and stress free, as with all previous Vegas versions, but i run very minimalistic and tight editing computer systems, No updates, No GPU (Focus is on CPU), etc, etc…… but that cant go for everyone.
Vegas Pro 17 i notice from many users is very finicky, if it has even the slightest conflict with a bad driver, a bad vst plugin, an intrusive software install, an incompatible ofx plugin etc, it’s gonna start crashing or locking up, but if your system is free of these nags, Vegas 17 is rock solid….
So Roger, i can only suggest, uninstall all Vegas versions, clean up your system, if you use GPU Cards etc, make sure the latest drivers are downloaded and installed, uninstall all junk software you really not using, do a reboot and re-install Vegas…. If that doesn’t work then we have to delve deeper!
