You already raised this topic in another forum and was addressed accordingly!
Yes somewhat a misunderstanding, but its not a deliberate ploy to squeeze more money out of purchasers.

Glad updating the drivers worked for you. If your Vegas becomes stable after updating the drivers, then you need not worry about things going bad again….. That is the solution in your case!

Vegas Pro 18 is rock solid for me the first day out the gate on it’s release, and solid for many other users as well, but equally it is very unstable for many and crashing frequently like what you are experiencing!……… Thus the problem lies in how each user’s computer is configured with which GPU hardware or with which drivers.
There are tons of recommendations to try over on the Magix Vegas forum regarding this issue, so do a search on the related topic.

Neat Video is the best and easiest plugin for the job. And from what you have mentioned, it seems you are already using the trial version…. Sorry, there is no free option that’s gonna yield any satisfying result !

Yeah, Vegas Pro 18 has quite a bit more features and improvements than Vegas Pro 16, (cant get into all of them right now), thus you can be a lot more creative, accurate and faster in your edits. I actually end up dropping a few of my usual plugins as some of the new built in features are better.

Soundforge isn’t hard to learn at all, just import your audio and start poking around, in no time things start becoming clearer, (also as you hover over an effect it tells you what it is)…. But if you wanna go the other route as you mentioned, yes, Core FX can be used within Vegas Pro as a “vst Audio Plugin”, its available by itself on the website for purchase.

Have you updated your graphics card to the newest driver?
Also have you downloaded and installed the Vegas Deep Learning Models?

A whole lot more than a newer tracker and artificial color Roger.
I have upgraded same day of its release and i am not disappointed one bit.
Solid and includes a lot more new and improved features than i was expecting.
