Sounds good to me, I’m using (at home)a 15″ Subwoofer driver in a home made speaker cabinet running from a small Fender amp head and it sounds pretty good. Wouldn’t use it on the road though.

Audition has this effect in it.
Under Time and Pitch in the Effects panel choose Pitch Bender and Turntable Losing Power. It is customizable too.

Audition is mainly a multitrack recording station also called a DAW, “Digital Audio Workstation” and a 2 track audio mastering station in one piece of software. Audition will allow you to record as many inputs at once as the audio interface your using, meaning if you have a 16 channel in Firewire interface you can record 16 independent channels at the same time. Great for recording bands using close micing techniques at the same time.
Soundbooth also has limited multitracks but is intended for audio with video production or simple 2 track recording.

You can try EQing it to sound less distorted but no there is no way to create a pristine audio file.

Have you updated the drivers for the mixer?
Does the audio clean up if you run the audio in at a lower volume?

Is this audio file a lossless wave file?
What is the bit rate and sample rate of the original file?
Are you maintaining these as you export the audio?
Are the file time length’s the same for the original and the rendered file?

It’s not the processor, probably a driver incompatibility. Have you checked the Device Manager for problem devices? Are you in XP or Vista? Have you tried updating the video drivers or maybe the audio drivers.
