  • How do I Slow down audio like a record running down?

Posted by John Rowe on February 24, 2009 at 4:14 am

I want to create an audio effect of my wav file slowing down and stopping like a gramophone record slowing to a stop.

I’m using Soundbooth CS4 but I also have access to Audition Vers 3.

Any ideas on how to achieve this effect?

    Thanks very much,
    John

Audition has this effect in it.
Under Time and Pitch in the Effects panel choose Pitch Bender and Turntable Losing Power. It is customizable too.

Does Soundbooth CS4 have this effect in it also, I’ve been having a look but can’t seem to find it.

Sadly I have a Mac and don’t have Audition.

Not that I could find. Bummer hey! I would have thought this would be a fairly commonly sought after effect.
