    Hi,

I’ve been having problems using Vegas 7.0 since I installed it recently in that whenever I drag an object (either dragging the whole thing or just adjusting the size) it crashes my whole pc.

I’m guessing this is probably something to do with the fact that I’ve only got a 3ghz single core processor but is there any way to change the settings to make it less processor hungry when doing simple editing tasks?

I’ve set my windows settings to “performance”, etc and all the video card settings are set for optimal performance over quality but nothing seems to help!

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers.

It’s not the processor, probably a driver incompatibility. Have you checked the Device Manager for problem devices? Are you in XP or Vista? Have you tried updating the video drivers or maybe the audio drivers.

Steve, you are an absolute star.

I’d updated the video drivers as a first port of call before but didn’t think it could be anything to do with the audio drivers! Just updated those and it all seems to be sorted so thanks very much for your help! Much appreciated.

I spoke too soon! It’s now giving me a bit more allowance with dragging, etc before it all locks up but it’s still locking up…
