I chose a middle route. I used a PC guy in New Jersey to build me a PC for a lot less money than Dell, but more than I could I built it for had I the experience to do so. Maybe. It may be cheaper due to the fact that he gets better prices than I do.
It arrives on Saturday, built to my specifications. If it is as good as I hope it is, I will publish the specs and let everyone know where I bought it.

Copy the clips from the Premiere Pro timeline to the After Effects timeline. Make your changes and save the comp.
Then, if you have the Production Studio with PPro 2 and AE7 you just dynamically link the AE comp to the PPro project and replace the original clips on the timeline. Otherwise you must render them out in After Effects. Use the DV AVI codec so you don’t have to render them again inside PPro.

You can create a black section of a title, using a blur to get a feathered edge. But if I were you, I would create the gradient in Photoshop to do the job. Reduce the opacity to suit your taste.

I would probably denoise it in Audition instead of Premiere Pro. That might solve part of the problem right there.
Or, denoise it in a sequence with the video deleted and then export it out to a new WAV file.

If it is assigned as the right channel, that indicates it is showing up as stereo with sound in only one channel. So apply the audio effect known as “Fill Right” and it will copy the right to the left and give you the same audio on both sides.

Once you click on it in the sequence, you should be able to move it around with a mouse right in the program monitor.

I bought After Effects for the ability to fly a camera through stills like I saw at DVExpo. I never got any good at that and it sat on the shelf, so to speak. I saw a demo of using it for titling and I was hooked. In 6.0 it was possible, in 6.5 it got easy, and in 7.0 it is just so easy that I don’t even think twice about using it.
I now use it for Slow Motion as well. And Chroma Key using Keylight.
Is it necessary? Probably not. Do I find it very handy? You bet. Am I any good at it other than those things I use all the time? No way. Is it worth the money? For me it is, especially as part of the Production Studio.
I highly recommend that you lock yourself in a room with the Total Training DVDs and watch them straight through. That will give you a great tour of what is possible and a vague idea of how. One you know where to find everything in the training, it will be easy to go through that part of the training again when you need it. And then, watch some of the clips from my Inspiration site on your browsing PC while your editing PC renders now and then. https://www.stevengotz.com/inspiration.htm – you will notice at the very top a link to the Demo Reels barn here on the Cow.
If, after all of that, you decide that it won’t help you in your work, at least you will know for sure and be happy in your decision. But, that is just my opinion.

I remember this problem. It used to happen to me now and then. Delete all of the keyframes and start over. I believe that Premiere Pro “remembers” a keyframe that is no longer there.

It is always better to use Project Manager to assemble the files on to a new disk.
