I’m having trouble with motion keyframes in Premiere 1.5

I’ve set 4 keyframes on a title to make it zip on-screen (from off-screen), move slowly across the frame (right to left), then zip off-screen. The title lasts about 7 seconds. The trouble is that in the middle of the r-l movement, the title will move slowly back to the right, then resume it’s correct movement after a second.

They keyframes are all set to Linear, though I’ve tried other types with no luck. I get the same results with different titles and on two different computers with PP 1.5, so I imagine this is operator error. Hopefully I’m missing something obvious and someone here can put me on the right track.

    Thanks.

Suspect two keyframes stacked almost together…try zooming in on the timeline view of the Effects Controls palette.
Detail the position value and timecode of each keyframe so we can duplicate.

I remember this problem. It used to happen to me now and then. Delete all of the keyframes and start over. I believe that Premiere Pro “remembers” a keyframe that is no longer there.

I found it is very easy to accidentally have a keyframe where you do not want it. And remember if you shorten a clip, it retains the keyframes beyond the in or out points, in which case deleting the keyframes is the answer as Steven suggested.
Do not rely upon clicking a keyframe and adjusting its properties – always use the next/prev keyframe button. This gets unweildy if you have placed seemingly synchronous keyframes on multiple effects on the same clip – if keyframes are offset by even 1 frame, you can add a new keyframe without realizing it – especially if you are not zoomed in on the keyframes in the effects controls.
