Change the duration of the work area bar to cover what you want to export and then export just the work area instead of the sequence.

When I export titles from After Effects, I use the Quicktime Animation codec (if Dynamic Link is not available). Exporting to DV AVI can be problematic.

I used to bring them in without scaling them, but I found it was more convenient to start with them scaled, then as I begin to work with each one, I right click and take away the scaling.
That way I see the whole pic to begin with and it is a little easier. This is best when using different sized pics where a quick Motion copy/paste is less convenient.

Move the picure to the next higher track so you can put a background behind it on the lower track.

Premiere Pro 1.5 generated very large conformed audio files. As much as 10% of the size of the video file.
Premiere Pro 2.0 and CS3 both generate small Peak files, but they only conform audio that does not match the project settings.

Use the fixed Motion Effect that all clips have as a default. The scale parameter and position parameters will help you when you use Keyframes.

It isn’t going to happen. Start over. Or, export the DV AVI, convert it to Quicktime in Quicktime Pro, and edit it from there.

720X480 should be using a 0.9 pixel aspect ratio, not square pixels. That could be the cause of the problem.
