    Hey everybody,

I shot with the HVX200 in 720p and created the following project in Premier to export to standard definition:

    720×480
    Square Pixels (1.0)
    23.976 FPS
    48000 HZ

I have to scale down all the video to 57% to make them fit the screen. Is there another way of doing this? Also, when it renders and plays back the video becomes smaller and falls inside the safe title zone. Why does it do that? Doesn’t make any sense!

    Thanks for your help.

    Jeremy

720X480 should be using a 0.9 pixel aspect ratio, not square pixels. That could be the cause of the problem.

    Hello,
I’m having the same trouble. I finish the short film and everything is in the safe margins. But when I render it and export to DVD it zooms the screen in. So it cuts off some of the credits and actors out of the frame. It was orginally filmed in widescreen. I’m not sure what to do to fix it. I’ve tried resizing the frames and it didn’t help. Could you please let me know how to fix it. I appreciate your help. Regards, David B.

It sounds like you did the same thing as me. Make sure your pixel aspect ratio for the project is set to 0.9, not 1.0 square pixels.
