It is not possible in Premiere Pro without cutting up the clip into short durations and changing each portion a little bit different than the last portion.

You want After Effects to you can use Time Remapping.

I am confused as to what you mean by “stretch”. If you mean that you change the duration, OK.

Have you tried using the Flicker Removal setting?

This is obviously meant to be inflammatory and so far from reality that nobody should ever take it seriously. If you spout nonsense, you should expect condescending statements. Just because you are upset about your 24p problem does not mean that Adobe is ignoring you, not does it mean that they will never support another new camera.

I can’t use the words I would like to regarding your statement. Ron and Kathlyn would get upset. Just understand that spouting irritating nonsense is useless. Write letters. Submit bug reports. Make yourself known to Adobe. Don’t spout nonsense on user forums. It doesn’t do any good and just irritates the rest of us.

What makes you think there won’t be changes to a software program in the 1.x category?

Anyone with sense understands that companies don’t just write new programs and then abandon them. Perhaps there is a 24p problem that did not get resolved, but that doesn’t mean the rest of us are not happy with the improvements so far.

24p is highly overrated anyway. I agree they should fix the problem if they can. But there are other issues that have been addressed and are working just fine. Like HDV.

Modifier keys. Learn to use modifier keys. In this case, hold the Ctrl key – if I remember correctly. Grab what you want, press the control key. It will insert the clip instead of overlay.

With practice you could do it with the audio mixer controls. Just write to the correct track and as you see the comments coming, you pull down the audio of the other tracks. You may have to use a submix to get two tracks to drop at the same time.

The modifier keys are not listed, but if you select each tool, then look in the status bar, it will tell you which modifier keys do what. Or you may have to hold down the modifier key to see what it does. The status bar is very informative.

If the audio is linked to the video, you may not have room to do the ripple delete. You may have to adlust the audio to make room.
