Let’s see if I get the math right.

4:05 is 49 pictures if each picture is 5 seconds long and you get 12 pictures per minute. Adding the default transition just reuses frames. Using Automate to Sequence creates heads and tails. So the total duration is shorter.

The only time the duration changes – like changing from 125 to 175, is when you import the images. So, delete them and start over. Make sure you are set for 175 and see if that does the trick for you.

And no, I don’t remember doing anything more than a light discussion of Automate to Sequence in the tutorials. Which is why I hang out in forums to support people.

Are you sure it isn’t just that the overlap for the transition is causing the shorter duration?

Perhaps you should increase your duration by the amount of the overlap – remember to do both sides.

I don’t know why it would stop working. Perhaps a reboot would help. In the meantime, you could try changing your preferences so that you get more than 5 seconds per still. This only works when you import. So you could make the change, reimport, then use Automate to Sequence.

Um, George? Do you mean me? I am not sure I can afford the pay cut to work for Adobe, although I probably would have applied for a job long ago if it didn’t mean moving to San Jose. Too expensive. There is one job there that I want. It used to belong to Daniel Brown, but he got tired of traveling it seems. But no, I really just like Adobe products. And I really, really like Cineform products. I am a moderator because I like helping people.

As for removing anything from this forum… the moderators do not have that power. At least I do not. I can’t do anything except post responses.

You might want to rethink your attitude towards posts that quote directly from another forum. It may not have been the information that was objected to, but, if I recall correctly, the info was copied and pasted as is. Not good for copyright infringements, and the Cow can’t afford to take that chance. Not from Abode, but from the other site.

Or, it might have been the info. To be honest, I don’t really know who removed it. Someone probably warned Kathlyn or Ron and they did it themselves.

My personal opinion is that the Europeans who routinely leak pre-release info are either on a publishing schedule that is harder to predict than in the USA, or they flat out do not care about how Adobe wants to announce things. I seriously believe that Adobe should be allowed to announce in any way that they wish. I live in the USA. It is a free country and the companies have rights just about like any person does. The should be allowed to do it their way. Just as you are allowed to buy from any company you wish.

The only way, at this time, to add a label like a date or timecode is to eventually have to render. It is just a fact of life. But a small label should not stop a fast PC from previewing without rendering.

If it is a problem in the older saved version, then it is probably a corrupt effect of some sort. Start Premiere Pro while holding down the shift key.

There was no free upgrade. Unless maybe you bought 6 within 30 days of 6.5 being released. I am sure there are a fe copies out there somewhere, but antine who upgraded from 6.5 to Premiere Pro would not own the rights to give you the leftover copy. Those rights transferred to Premiere Pro.

Import what kind of movie? What frame size? Which codec?

Perhaps the movie itself is smaller than the 720X576 PAL frame size.
