While applying color correction to one of the clips of a 15 min project Pre Pro froze up. Had to shut it down. Now it wouldn’t open the project. The message appears: Serious error has occured that recuires Pro to shut down, we will try to save your project. The same with the copy of the project (I always save a copy as well). No problem to open other projects. Also, cannot import the corrupt project into a new one. Any help/advice will be greately appreciated.

If it is a problem in the older saved version, then it is probably a corrupt effect of some sort. Start Premiere Pro while holding down the shift key.

Yes, it looks like it is a corrupt effect. I applyed Color Corrector to the clip, then clicked “uncheck” in the effects control, then checked it again – to see the difference with/without effect. At that moment Adobe froze. Holding Shift didn’t help though.

This happens quite a lot, I now “Save AS” the project let’s say Project A and then “save as” a second one with backup behind, so I save the same projects x2 with 2 different names. This happens so much that i now do this as standard.

With me the same problem. Have you solved it somehow?
