Cut all of the tracks. Or, just move the beginning of the workarea and export just the workarea.

The BR-HD50U can record HDV format 720/30p/25p/24p, 480/60p or 576/50p video and DV format 480/60i and 480/24p video.
I don’t see anywhere that it can record 1080i, even though it can export it.

Not on my system it doesn’t. But I don’t use a Canopus card any more. Perhaps that audio is determined to be not to spec because Canopus can’t write a driver correctly.

Premiere Pro 2.0 does not conform everything, it just creates small Peak files. But Canopus doesn’t really support it. You are stuck with outdated technology that does some of what you want but prevents you from doing the rest. Rotten situation. I sold my DVStorm2.

Not that I know of. If you know what you want to see, why not just recreate it in Premiere Pro and create a preset from it. Only apply it to each frame individually so you pause or slow down in the right places.

Most of the problem can be solved by using the 1920X1080 frames and use the Motion effect to scale them down.
That way you can import the PAL project into a HD project later and just reset the scaling back to 100%.
But if you scale the pics in Photoshop, you will need to relink to the original material instead of just rescaling. It can be done by unlinking and relinking. Or, just move the pics to a different directory so you will be asked where they are. Then just tell the program where the full size shots are. Make sure to use the same names or relinking manually will be necessary.

As I said, that is why I generally deinterlace before I cut. But that only helps on movies I know will be for the Internet. I don’t like to do that on movies destined for HD distribution because it loses quality.

No workaround. Sucks, doesn’t it? One of my pet peeves. If the export functions deinterlaced better, I wouldn’t have to worry about it. As it is, I put all of my clips into sequences and deinterlace it there. Then I subclip the sequence.

It isn’t possible, no. After Effects can do it, so I suppose it depends on what you are rendering and why. Perhaps a render farm in After Effects would suit you better.
