I have no problem using the app across two monitors, so perhaps Adobe followed the rules, but some of the video card drivers don’t? That is kind of hard for Adobe to deal with unless they figure out a workaround. And a workaround should not be necessary. That makes it hard to justify spending engineering resources on the issue.

Try a new project. If you have a clip in the source monitor, you must be able to grab it from the middle of the frame and drag it into the project window. Either that, or you have an installation, problem, or a problem with drivers.

It is slow, yes. But 2 hours to create an 80 minute DVD is relatively fast.

If you leave your camera connected and tuned on, you will have problems hearing the audio over the PC speakers from the timeline. But you should still have audio from the source monitor. Is it just the timeline with problems?

Doubleclick on the clip to put it into the source monitor. Set the in/out markers and drag it to the program window and rename it. Then you can drag it where you need it.

My thoughts? I generally color correct before I cut.

But yes, there needs to be a way to paste attributes that overwrites, or removes what was applied previously. Submit a feature request.

Look harder. Unless you turned off Auto-Save it is still there. Somewhere in the project’s directory or wherever your scratch files are. The chances of you finding the corruption and fixing it are between null and zero.

You can’t use Adobe for that. You need a DVD ripper. Or, with Premiere Pro 2.0 you can rename the VOB to MPG and get decent results.

You can leave 1.5 on your system if you wish. Or remove it. Your call.

I prefer to leave the older versions installed in case I need to revise an older project. I don’t know of any software you have to buy other than the Production Studio, except Cineform Aspect HD if you edit HDV. The upgrade from older versions to 4.0 is necessary to use it with PPro 2.0
