    Thanks guys.
It’s kind of what I thought, but I just figured I would double check.

    Ryan;

I did all that before I made the original post and like I said I am not able to change anything under the audio setting.

The video settings gives me some options that I can change, but under audio it is just the following and they can’t be changed when you click on them.

Thanks I’ll give it a shot.

I’ve been pushing for an upgrade since FCP7 came out and then when Apple went to FCPX I started trying to push them toward Adobe (whatever flavor of the time)

It’s a major expense, because they want to go aware from MAC and switch to PC’s as well so it mean all new computer (about 11) and then reformatting or replacing our 200 TB SAN from HFS to NTFS or even ExFat.

    Thanks Ryan.

I’m well aware that FCP6 is dead and we are talking about upgrading to Adobe CC, but all it is, is talk right now.

Believe me sometimes I’m fighting with both had tied my back and on one leg.

As far as setting up a new preset. I’m not sure how to do that.
I don’t have a lot of experience with Adobe yet.

Can you point me in the right direction.

I tried a demo version of Twixtor last night and it worked great.
It is expensive thought. I might try the others.

Yes all of our edit suites have FCP 6.0.6.
    The systems are 10.6.8.

You guys are preaching to the choir.

I know it is not an easy task, and the last time I looked into it was about 5 years ago and was “hoping” that things had changed a bit and there was some way of working with the 2 a little more harmoniously.

Look we used to have the same problem between FCP and Premier, but Adobe got smart and made their software much more comparable with FCP.

Boris is something to look into as is a copy of Avid.

Any issue with taking an Avid project from PC to MAC, besides the usually of PC and Mac drive compatibility?

I’m not sure what platform this Avid system is on, but I want to have as many bases covered as I can.

    Thanks again for you comments.

I totally agree with you Dave, but getting them to see that is not easy.

    Thanks again everyone.
There is not transistion from NLE to NLE that is going to go flawlessly, but this seems pretty smooth and I think we can deal with most of it.

Thanks Walter. I remember you testing a bunch of different NLE’s when FCPX first came out.

I thought I read in a thread or blog of yours that you decided to go with something else rather than Premier.

I will read thru the blog you put in the post.
