Then most likely it is not going to be able to edit directly.

It is just a USB 2.0 connection which won’t handle the data transfer needed to edit, especially if you are doing any HD.

We just switched to HD and have a lot of SD content that we contractually need to continue airing.

We did a lot of testing in this area.

AJA Kona card is the best option of your choices.

For letter boxed material choose Zoom Wide.

Did you do a clean install or just upgrade over leopard?
I’m guessing that those applications need to be re-installed if you just did an upgrade.

I was under the impression that they were just selling their back stock that was still in their warehouse or that the got back from Retailers when they pulled it for FCPX.

I got 2 copies from EBAY. No Problems. They were NIB and unopened.

Are they all the same length or not?
If they are highlight them all and right click then there should be an option to set the length.

I’m not in front of a Final Cut right now so the exact steps escape me.

I believe it means that you have to have the track assignments on for both video and audio to do this.

Try deleting and re-entering your serial #.
You may have accidentally entered the same # on 2 machines.

You can deleted the file that stores the Serial # at /Library/Application Support/ProApps

Then delete the one that says Final Cut Studio System ID or Final Cut Pro System ID.

The next time you launch Final Cut it will ask for the serial # again as if it is a new install.

You should put what you did to fix it, not just “figured it out” so that anyone who may have a similar problem in the future could fix their problem if they come across this post.
